Abstract

The purpose of this article is to follow the different phases of the construction of a literary itinerary and to analyse the determining factors for its effectiveness, whether in its touristic or didactic application. Based on cases of existing literary itineraries, the text reflects on the creation of the storytelling, the selection of places, authors and texts and the different types of links that can be established between these elements, from the direct relationship to the literaturisation of spaces. The application of these itineraries is then discussed, depending on whether their purpose is touristic or didactic. To this end, especially in didactic contexts, issues such as the roles of the person leading the itinerary and of those following it, both in the establishment and in the evolution of the storytelling itself (and, consequently, of the itinerary) are dealt with. All of this is exemplified by real experiences from the work of both the authors’ research group and other experts.
