Paisagens sonoras: o cotidiano nas poéticas da contemporaneidade
Soundscapes: the Everyday in Poetics of Contemporaneity
Abstract
Soundscapes are radiographic portraits of the place where they are inserted, they tell stories of the environment and the beings that inhabit it. Through them, we can see an opening “to a 'new' world of sounds, noises and silences, and, consequently, to other listening attitudes” that launched authors and composers in unusual encounters “enabling both the unveiling of other listening and sound materialities, regarding the formalization of new procedures and compositional poetics ”. (Santos, 2013).
Throughout the article, concepts about “Poetics of Daily Day” and “Soundscapes” are presented in order to reflect on daily life, where the various artistic activities and social practices that are exercised are revealed. The search for a new attitude of listening and reflecting on all sounds, transform artistic works that use “soundscapes” into daily poetics and important cultural sources in contemporary times. Boldness, creativity and transgression; in disorder new creations are realigned. However, in addition to reflecting on these poetics, sound installations that address contemporary narratives through sound landscapes are presented in a qualitative way, including: Quintal dos Sons (2019); La Selva74 (2004); Caminho das Águas (2015), Acousmatic Park (2016) e Partituras e Objectos (2021).
